A note from our editor

After a challenging few years for small businesses—from navigating the pandemic to persevering through inflation and economic uncertainty—we wanted to better understand the current state of small business marketing and equip SMBs as they plan their 2025 marketing.

We had many questions for businesses like yours, including what their marketing budgets look like, how they’re spending those budgets, and where they plan to invest in 2025. We were also curious about the specific strategies they’re using now and how satisfied they are with the results. Plus, with AI becoming so pervasive, we wanted to know if small businesses were using it (spoiler alert: they are!), how they’re using it, and why.

So we set out to create our first-ever Small Business Marketing Trends Report, and we were blown away by the responses! More than 730 small business owners and marketers took the time to answer our questions and give us insight into their current plans and what they’re planning for next year.
